Many visitors to the Far North are familiar with The Famous Mangonui Fish and Chip Shop. The spectacular setting out over the harbour is a favourite stop for thousands of travellers. Muller’s Landing is located across the road and the full length deck shares the same outlook.

Extensively renovated in 2022 the property provides a seagull’s view overlooking the never ending action on Mangonui Harbour, one of the last working village fishing ports in New Zealand. On a daily basis bins of fresh fish are thrown from working boats up to waiting refrigerated trucks. Pleasure boats coming and going, catch your own fish from the wharf or watch others doing so. There is always something going on in Mangonui Harbour.
